Northgard Battlegrounds/Planner

Northgard Battlegrounds Planner: Board, Gods, Cards

Plan a run before you play it, or keep a record of one you just finished. The board is the game's own 46-tile hex board, drawn the same way as the dev boards: pick a structure, tap a tile, then tap the structure to set its level and villagers. Add your clan, the gods you follow and your Fate cards, write down what worked, and share the whole plan as a link or a picture.

Nothing you build here is sent to us or kept on our side. The plan stays in your browser as a draft and travels inside the share link itself, so anyone who opens the link sees your board exactly as you left it.

          How to use the planner

          1. Set the ground. A new plan starts as 46 colonised Plains tiles. In the Ground tab, paint the Fertile, Rocky and Wildlands tiles where your board has them, and switch off tiles you have not colonised yet. The Board pieces tab adds Mountains, Forests and Circles of Stone.
          2. Pick your clan. Its Banner Hall and clan structures join the tray, and a Banner Hall already on the board turns into the new clan's.
          3. Place structures. Tap one in the tray, then a tile. Tap a placed structure to open its card: effects, level (up to each structure's top level), villagers (up to 3 in a camp), the ground under it, the neighbours it touches, and buttons to move or remove it.
          4. Add gods and Fate cards. Mark the gods you are following, then search the 174 Fate cards. Cards of your gods come first in the results; tap a card to add it and tap the cross to drop it.
          5. Note the run. Pick the mode (Ranked, Free Play or Tutorial), name the plan and write how it went or what you will try next.
          6. Share it. Copy the link or download the plan as an image. Undo steps back through every change, a cleared board included.

          Planning with the board

Ground decides some effects. A Mine pays on Rocky ground, a Farm wants Fertile and the Ceremonial Bonfire gives more Burn on Wildlands. On every dev board those three sit on that ground, so paint your real board before you place them.

Neighbours are the six tiles around a hex, and board pieces count. A Forest or a Circle of Stone beside a structure can feed its effect, so plan around them instead of treating them as lost tiles. The card of each placed structure lists what it touches.

The warchief fights from the Banner Hall. It is a unit, so bonuses for neighbouring units reach it, and the developers' late boards ring their Banner Halls with support pieces for that reason.

Start from a worked example. The Start from menu loads any of the 14 tutorial opponent boards with their ground, board pieces and structures, ready to change. The placement guide explains each rule, and Best builds shows layouts that win.
